Winter and Christmas 2010!

We had snow again this year. When I moved to the UK, I was told that snow was something very rare in South England and it proved to be like that in the first year, when I had no chance to see snow. However, this has not been the case in the last 2 years, with quite a few days with snow. Maria, my mum and myself went outside for a walk, while Will was at work. Maria was not very keen on snow and seemed quite concerned being left on her own, but we managed to take a few pictures of her in snow.

slightly concerned of walking in snow, too
"Open the door, please. Enough snow for me."
The woodpecker wouldn't care that it's cold and lots of snow
Someone else though is enjoying the snow...

Back home, daddy made a snowman for Maria, but she was quite scared of it and really wanted to go back inside (Bless her!)

Christmas Time

As usual, close to Christmas Eve, we decorate our Christmas tree and wait patiently on Christmas Eve for Santa Claus to come and bring pressies. We have been very nice this year and Santa was good to us. Merry Christmas, everyone!

After presents were open, Maria was really keen to have a cup of tea with Lauren

Wish you all Happy New Year and hope 2011 will be a good year!

Maria's 2nd Birthday

Maria is 2. I can hardly believe it. She is an adorable, very happy and sweet girl. In July she started nursery, which she enjoys a lot, making more friends and learning lots of new things. We have had a few good weeks, haven't travelled much, but spent time with family and friends. Just before Maria's birthday, we had the nicest surprise from my mum. She showed up at the door, with our friend, Lauren as a surprise visit for Maria's birthday. How nice was that!

Here are a few pictures from Maria's celebrations at home and nursery.

Super birthday cake made by Grannie Mary. It was delicious and excellent decorated. We all loved it. Thank you so much, MM!
Maria's friends playing. Please excuse their backs, but they were quite busy.
Maria with Mama Lili, wondering if she can blow the candle. Everyone ready?
So happy to see her Birthday cake. She really enjoyed the moment when everyone sang "Happy Birthday". Even after the guests left, she was still very keen to see the cake, blow the candle and sing to herself.
Therefore, we had to repeat the same scene, daddy bringing the candle and singing for several times.

and here comes daddy again with the cake and the candle
Party is over, but I can enjoy playing with my presents.
Thank you everyone for all the nice presents!
And there was one more to open the next day: her favourite Iggle Piggle puzzle.

Here are a few pictures from November, before and after Maria's birthday. Being a bit lazy to post everything, I decided to attach them to this posting.
